A tough question, that.
Both books and plays played an important role in my childhood and adolescence. An avid reader, I was a child raised in a household where there was always a book around to read. I was lucky in that, I think.
As an adult, my love of storytelling and imagery have matured so that I am now an amateur writer and photographer. The theater, though, still plays an important part of my life, even as I have taken a less active role in the theater over the past several years. Many mornings as I drive to work, I am struck by the beauty around me as dawn breaks. Many mornings, I wish I had left home just a few minutes earlier that I might stop and take a few pictures of the sunrise.
But there is more to me than that. I have reached the age where I want to have an impact on those around me. I want to leave a legacy for those that come next. The reasons I am still a theater kid at heart and have have chosen my professional life to follow the path it is on, is quite simple I think. I would like to leave the world in a better way than I found it.
